There are a number of places of tourist attraction around Rajkot city.

Lion Sanctuary - Gir

The Gir sanctuary is the only natural home of Asiatic lions.

Birds Paradise - Nal Sarovar

The Nalsarovar bird sanctuary offers one the most pleasant trips. The sanctuary mainly comprises a huge lake of about 100 sq kms, and ambient marshes where you can see flamingoes, pelicans, geese, cranes, storks, ibises, spoonbill, wading birds, swallows, fishing eagles, osprey, harriers and in great numbers.

Krishna Nagari - Dwarka

A city founded by Lord Krishna and where he spent the last years of his life. It is one of the seven sacred cities known as Mokshdham meaning Bestower of Liberation. It is also a home to the four most important Shankaracharya Mutts.

Jyotirling - Somnath

Somnath is a pilgrimage center held in great reverence throughout India. It is considered to be the first of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva.

Shetrunjaya Tirth - Palitana

Palitana temples are considered to be the most sacred of Jain temples. Located on Shetrunjaya hills there are 863 temples, exquisitely carved in marble. It is also one of the greatest tourist attractions in Gujarat for foreign tourists.
